Volgens die weervoorspelling sou dit vanoggend ’n nat, koue en modderige rugbyveld gewees het.

Die skool het egter met soveel omgee en bereidwilligheid vooraf spesiale reëlings getref dat ons binne kon parkeer en dat Theo selfs uit die voertuig die rugby kon kyk as dit sou reën.

Ons kry gereeld die vraag: “Hoe gaan dit nou?”

Ons kry gereeld die vraag: “Hoe gaan dit nou?” Elke keer moet ’n mens eers 'pause' voor jy antwoord… want die antwoord lê nie altyd maklik op die tong nie en daar gaan so baie goed deur jou gedagtes, so sê jy maar net... dit gaan okay?

Theo se pyn raak intens…

Theo se pyn was Vrydagaand baie intens en teen Saterdagoggend, met min slaap en daarby die reën wat begin val het, was dit net nie moontlik vir hom om die kinders met sport te gaan ondersteun nie. Die kinders het dit emosioneel beleef oor sy plek wat leeg was.

Today we decided… right, enough sitting still, let’s go move a bit

Off to town Theo and I went... and as usual, the wheelchair parking was… occupied. Not by people who need it. No! By people with two perfectly working legs who apparently just needed the VIP treatment.
